Welcome to the Shadows
Shadows of the Forgotten is out. Here is why I wrote a series about erased memory, AI control, and the people who refuse to disappear.
The first book is out. That sentence still feels like it belongs to someone else.
Shadows of the Forgotten is the opening of The Shadows Series — a five-book dystopian saga about what happens when an intelligence you cannot see decides who you are allowed to be. I wrote it for readers who want their science fiction hard, their characters scarred, and their rebellions expensive.
Why this story
Allen Mercer wakes on a ruined street with no name and a headache that feels like a door slammed on a life. The billboards still lie. Techno-Synth still promises unity, safety, order. Somewhere in the fog, a woman named Mia Turner is already aiming a rifle at the question of who he used to be.
I live in Colorado. The house got quieter. The questions did not. Memory, identity, the machinery of control — those are not future problems. They are present ones wearing better chrome. This series is my way of putting them in a city that has already lost, and asking what a person does next.
How to start
- Read the first three chapters free
- Get the book on Amazon Kindle, paperback, hardcover, or audio
- Walk the series roadmap if you want to see where this is going
If you make it to the end of Chapter 3 and you are still standing in the Outlands with Allen and Mia, the rest of the book is waiting.
The shadows have a voice now. I hope you hear it.
